For the first time NASA Space Apps Challenge - Bangladesh has won the title of World Champion of 2018.
The team nominated by the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, team teamed up with 395 teams from around the world. This information was given in the press release sent by BASIS.
The Lunar Vor Project, which provides the Moon experience by sitting in the house. Team Okik earned the title of World Champion for this project. This lunar project is a Virtual Reality app by Team Unicer. Through which users will get an experience in the moon travel. NASA has collected 3D models and information from various resources, NASA's Apollo 11 missions travel to the landing area, to see the solar eclipse from the moon, and to move the moon through a satellite, these three different models have been created virtually by Team Unicel.
They got the title of World Champion in the Best Use of Data category, losing to California, Kuala Lumpur, and Japan in the top four.
Earlier, on December 8 last year, in the initial results, competing with nearly 2,772 teams of 79 countries in the world came to top four of the NASA Space Apps Challenge.

On behalf of BASIS Students' Forum, with the help of the Bangladesh High-Tech Park Authority, Nasa Space Apps Challenge has selected the best 40 projects NASA has selected from two thousand projects in the international competition. It is organized in nine cities of Bangladesh (Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Comilla).
Six champions of six categories will get the chance to go to Nasa and work as an apprentice for some time.
