Mosquito haul sticks to the Racecourse field: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda said that in the 7th March speech at Racecourse Maidan (Suhrawardy Udyan), we ran a mosquito net, some bamboos and ran them. There were millions of people, we were among them. I was also. Because we wanted freedom.

The CEC said this at a discussion meeting and cultural program organized by Election Commission (EC) in the capital's Agargaon election building auditorium on Tuesday, the Independent and National Day.

CEC K N Nurul Huda said, I met a sir at night and said, Bangabandhu has guided me, what should I do now? Sir said, Dhaka city is not safe for anyone, you rather go to the village.

Nurul Huda said I went to the village along with a friend of Faridpur. Reaching the village, I see, all young people, peasants, and workers, people are all prepared to go to war. We just took the rifle with the bamboo sticks and started training in warfare.

The CEC said, in fact, everybody in the country was a warrior, river-stream, canal-bills, and plants were also for freedom. They did not know swimming. As a result, the river could not cross. They could not raise the tree. The members of our guerrilla forces sat on the pole and attacked them. In this way, the entire liberation war was transformed into a public war.

KM Nurul Huda said, today I will say those who were 18 to 22 in the age of 18. How they saw freedom How to prepare for achieving independence. How did the struggle between them arise? Speaking about this, I will say something about my life. That does not mean, I am speaking to try to glorify me. Actually, I mean, all those youths who were alone in 1971, have played their role in some way from their own place of independence.

'On March 3, the parliament was adjourned for the first time. That day cricket was played in Dhaka stadium. With the announcement of John, all the nations were split in protest. I had a master's practical examination (Dhaka University) on that day. We also came down to the test and came down. 'The CEC said.

Election Commissioner Rafiqul Islam said, 'Independence means an election (election of 70). On 7th March, the biggest epic of Bengalis, the liberation war and the sacrifices of 3 million martyrs.

Election Commissioner Poetry Khanam said freedom does not mean merely a flag. Freedom is the sacrifice of the martyrs, the honor of the mothers and sisters. And the pain of losing this is not our shame, pride.

Election Commission Secretary Helaluddin Ahmed said, 'We are fortunate that our CEC is an independent warrior. Election Commissioner Rafiqul Sir is a young war veteran, Mahbub Talukder Sir, one of the organizer. We have received such a commission, so proud of me. I was a fourth-grade student. As a result, we could not go to the liberation war. I consider the liberation war as a war. Those who sacrificed their lives in this war, could not enjoy the benefits of an independent country. I'm fortunate that I can enjoy the benefits of my freedom. Therefore, we are always indebted to the freedom fighters.
